Proposals and Signatures
Generate professional proposals, send them to customers, and collect digital signatures.
Three display options — Full Itemized, Grouped by Area, Total Only
Before generating your proposal you choose how pricing appears to your customer. Full Itemized shows every line item with quantity, unit, and price — best for customers who want full transparency or are comparing multiple bids. Grouped by Area shows a subtotal per room or work zone with a summary of the scope — good for mid-range projects. Total Only shows a single project investment number with a high-level scope summary — best for customers who trust you and want a clean, simple proposal.
Sending to customer — no login required
Tap Send to Customer and enter your customer's email address. The proposal is sent from proposals@bidforeman.com with your company email set as the reply-to address — all customer replies come directly to you. Your customer receives a link to a clean, professional proposal page that shows your company name, logo, scope of work, pricing, and a signature pad. They do not need to create an account or download anything to view or sign.
Customer signs on their phone or computer
At the bottom of the proposal page there is a signature pad. Your customer signs with their finger on a phone or tablet, or with their mouse on a desktop. The experience is smooth and takes less than a minute. When they tap Sign and Accept Proposal, their signature is saved with a timestamp. This signature is legally binding in most jurisdictions — consult your attorney if you have questions about enforceability in your state.
After signing — job moves to Booked automatically
The moment your customer signs, the job status moves to Booked in your pipeline automatically. You will see it appear in the Booked column on your My Bids page. The signed proposal is stored in the job record and accessible at any time from the Job Manager page. Both you and your customer can access the signed document via the proposal link.
Converting to contract — required before creating invoice
After the customer signs, you must convert the proposal to a contract before you can create an invoice. Open the job in Job Manager, find the Proposal Signed banner, and tap Convert to Contract. This locks the pricing at the signed amount and labels the document as a formal contract. Once converted, the pricing cannot be changed — any additional scope requires a change order.
Printing and saving as PDF
At any point you can print the proposal or save it as a PDF. Tap Print / Save PDF in the top navigation or at the bottom of the proposal page. Your browser's print dialog will open. Select Save as PDF to save a digital copy, or choose a printer to print a physical copy. The printed version is clean and professional — BidForeman navigation and buttons are hidden from the printed output.
